Livelihood Assessment Study 2017

A Livelihood Assessment Study was undertaken in communities surrounding the Matura Forest and Coastal Zone Pilot Protected Area (PPA) in 2017.  The study was an activity requested by the Subcommittee for the PPA under the "Improving Forest and Protected Area Management in Trinidad and Tobago" project (2015-2019).  The study sought to determine how people who live in these communities are engaging with the protected area in their livelihood activities, as well as to explore what may be feasible, sustainable livelihoods that can be developed in this region that can assist in management of the site.
